Congratulations to two Blackhawk students, Joseph Scriva and Alishia Wojdylak, for their acceptance to the PMEA District 5 Band Festival. (District 5 is comprised of Beaver, Butler, Lawrence, & Mercer Counties.)
 
Both students will participate with the area's finest student musicians during the three-day festival to be held at Rochester HS. While at Rochester, they will audition for the chance to be accepted to the PMEA Region I Band Festival and the possibility proceed to All-State Band. (Region I is District 5 and District 1 (Allegheny, Greene, Washington, & Westmoreland Counties) combined. This year, the PMEA Convention (& All-State Band) will be held in Pittsburgh in April.
